Tuition and Financial Support
The RAND School is committed to supporting all our students and making graduate education affordable across all programs. We offer scholarships, on-the-job training compensation in some programs, and federal or school-based aid.
Master of Policy Analysis
- Complete in 9 months full-time, or longer if part-time while working.
- Merit scholarships available for full-time and part-time students, covering up to 40% of tuition.
Master of Technology Policy
- Complete in 9 months full-time, or longer if part-time while working.
- Merit scholarships available for full-time and part-time students, covering up to 40% of tuition.
Master of National Security Policy
- Complete in 9 months full-time, or longer if part-time while working.
- Merit scholarships available for full-time and part-time students, covering up to 40% of tuition.
M.Phil. in Policy Analysis
- Participate in on-the-job training (OJT) on RAND research projects and earn $21,500/year (pre-tax) to help offset tuition.
- Additional scholarships and federal aid may also be available.
Ph.D. in Policy Analysis
- Tuition scholarships cover full tuition in some years and cover partial tuition in other years.
- Compensation through OJT on RAND research projects helps offset tuition and living expenses in other years. Students can earn more than $21,500/year (pre-tax).
