Survey Design

This course provides theoretical and applied training in survey research methods, emphasizing hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and analyzing surveys. Students explore key topics including sampling strategies, instrument development, scale construction, bias reduction, survey management, and cost considerations.

Through an internet-based group project, students design and field a survey, analyze response patterns, and apply techniques such as nonresponse adjustment, weighting, and coding of qualitative data. By the end, students demonstrate proficiency in survey design and data analysis, equipping them to conduct rigorous empirical research that informs policy and decision-making.
