Stata Bootcamp

This course introduces students to Stata, a statistical computing environment widely used for empirical policy analysis and quantitative research at RAND. Students explore Stata’s data structures, command syntax, and workflow design to manage, transform, and visualize data efficiently. Through applied exercises, they develop techniques for data cleaning, variable construction, and regression analysis while emphasizing reproducible research using do-files and structured directories. By the end of the course, students demonstrate practical proficiency in Stata, enabling them to conduct rigorous quantitative analyses and support data-driven policy assessments.

Note: This course is only open to MPhil/PhD students.
