Perspectives in Public Policy Analysis

This course introduces students to the profession of public policy analysis, emphasizing the analytic frameworks, methodological approaches, ethical principles, and standards that shape policy evaluation and advice. Students examine how policy analysts define problems, structure evidence, and apply quantitative and qualitative methods to inform decision making.

Lectures, discussions, and case studies address policy challenges across local, national, and international contexts while situating analysis within political and historical environments.
