Policy Analysis Capstone

This course serves as the culminating course for the Master of Policy Analysis program, enabling students to integrate and apply the analytical, research, and communication skills developed throughout the program to a substantive public policy issue. Students individually design and scope a research or policy analysis project, guided by RAND subject matter experts. The course emphasizes the development of a rigorous, policy-relevant analysis and the effective communication of findings to diverse policy audiences through written, oral, and media-based formats. By the end of the course, students produce a written paper and oral presentation on their selected topic, demonstrating their ability to conduct an independent policy analysis and translate evidence into clear, actionable policy recommendations.
