Health Policy: Past, Present, and Future Challenges
This course examines how health systems are organized, governed, and transformed within complex policy environments. Students analyze the evolution of health policy, identifying how demographic change, technological innovation, public expectations, and global forces shape system performance and sustainability. Comparative perspectives highlight different national models, stakeholder interactions, and mechanisms for financing and implementation. By the end of the course, students evaluate approaches for managing innovation, inequality, and long-term system resilience, developing tools to assess and inform health policy in diverse contexts.
