The International Development Speaker Series

The International Development Speaker Series (IDSS) aims to stimulate, motivate, and support researchers in bringing their talents to the pressing challenges of the developing world. The series—founded and organized by RAND School students—fosters intellectual dialogue about international development and supports a community of researchers and practitioners interested in these topics.

Launched in 2008 by RAND School students, the series alternates between panels featuring RAND researchers and external speakers. IDSS student have organized dozens of expert seminars on a variety of topics related to international development, such as
