Tech and Society

This seminar‑style, project‑based course explores how to analyze and communicate complex topics at the intersection of emerging technology and public policy. Using the Tech Policy Matrix framework, students identify and critique technology–society interactions, creating artifacts that represent and interrogate these relationships. The course emphasizes abstraction and representation—breaking down complicated issues into accessible elements and articulating insights across audiences.

Through iterative research, presentation, and group critique, students develop skills in framing policy problems, analyzing technology systems and their human impacts, and assessing how innovation shapes new policy challenges and opportunities in rapidly evolving contexts.
