Visiting our Santa Monica Campus

Where We're Located

The RAND School of Public Policy's Santa Monica campus is co-located with RAND’s headquarters campus at 1776 Main Street in Santa Monica, off the I-10 West, about 10 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport. The building fronts on Main Street in Santa Monica.

Visits must be arranged in advance. If you are coming to an event, your registration will ensure you are on our visitor list. If you are coming for another reason, please contact us first.

Public Transportation

Our Santa Monica campus may be conveniently accessed by public transportation serving the Los Angeles region. To explore options, visit: http://www.metro.net or http://www.bigbluebus.com.

Driving & Parking

Our Santa Monica campus is located two blocks from the beach, a few short blocks off I-10 West. Take the 4th/5th Street exit and turn left on 4th Street. Turn right on Olympic. Turn left on Main Street. The RAND parking garage is immediately visible on the right.

Visitors must enter the underground parking at the North entrance, which is accessible from Main Street. Early arrivals (5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.) must use the intercom (located near the garage entrance) to gain permission to enter.

Meter-free parking is available on the street after 9 p.m.

Entering the Building Courtyard

Visitors who park in the underground parking must enter the courtyard through the elevators in the garage. Visitors who do not park in the underground parking may enter through the street entrance next to the wood-slatted wall. From the courtyard, the main RAND lobby is visible. The lobby is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the receptionist can give you directions to the RAND School lobby.
